One year of full-time indie game development.

In July of 2021, I decided that it was finally time for me to take the plunge from being a full-time employee of a billion dollar tech company, to being a full-time indie game developer. It was such a scary, exciting time, but I had been wanting to make that switch for at least 4 years prior, so it was necessary.

Fast forward one year, and I'm still here. Still “surviving” as a solo indie dev. I've had some challenges along the way, and I've learned some key things that I feel like more people need to know about. So in this video, I talk about just that - 5 of my biggest takeaways from year one of game development. Enjoy!
